DIVINE INSURANCE - 02/04/2014

DIVINE INSURANCE - 02/04/2014

Yesterday’s message was titled “VESSEL OF HONOUR?”. Today’s message is titled “DIVINE INSURANCE” as provided by Pastor E. A. Adeboye in Open Heavens Devotional (Adeboye, 2014). In today’s message, we have been asked to memorise  Isaiah 26:3: "Thou wilt  him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee" and read  Isaiah 26:1-3  The Bible in one year for today has been taken from Ezekiel 37:15 to Ezekiel 39:29  and Psalm 74:12-23.(Adeboye, 2014).

Quoted below is  today's message for our usual discussion

"The promises of God in Christ are yea, and in Him, Amen. This means that any promise that God makes to all believers in Christ will definitely come to pass (2 Corinthians 1:20). Some promises of God to His genuine children include: the assurance of eternal salvation, safety in the face of imminent calamities and perfect peace of mind. In our Bible reading for today, the Lord made some wonderful promises concerning peace of mind that comes from dwelling in a place secured by God. For a fellow to enjoy these benevolent benefits, some conditions must
be’ met. First and foremost, you must be righteous. Righteousness is a gift you receive from the Lord Jesus Christ when you give your life to Him (Romans 5:17), this gift then empowers you to live a life of righteousness. Simply put, you must be born-again (John 3:3&5). Secondly, you must believe every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. It is the word of God that you believe that can work for you. How can you prove that you believe God's word? Simply, by doing according to what the word says.
When a man does the will of God as contained in His word, he is emboldened to trust the Lord for miracles, and his faith will make him whole. The story of Daniel is a case in point. When the king erroneously made a decree that affected his friend Daniel, the latter went boldly to the den of lions and nothing harmful happened to him. When the king went early in the morning to verify how great and mighty the God of Daniel was, he asked:
”O Daniel, servant of the Iiving God, is thy God, whom thou servest continuall y, able to deliver thee from the lions .?” Daniel 6:20‘
Instead of the lions roaring back at the king, it was Daniel who roared back in triumph. He said:
”O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions ’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, o king, have I done no hurt.”Daniel 6:21-22
This shall be your portion in Jesus’ Name. However, be sure you are dwelling in the secret place of the Most High in righteousness."

Today's prayer point is "Father, keep me in Your perfect peace, I trust You."

May God grant us perfect peace that supercede human understanding n Jesus Name, Amen.
