Memorize: And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his
brother lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
Genesis 14:16
Read: Genesis 14: 8 – 16
Bible in one year:
Proverbs 19 – 21.
Prayer Point: Every good
thing the enemy has stolen from me and my household; we recover them now in
Jesus name.
Based on Psalm 24:1, this truth is
established: the earth is lawfully owned by God. It was not something He
inherited from someone else, but something He created. The creation of planet
earth was God's original idea (Genesis 1:1). You cannot give what you don't
have except you are a criminal trying to fraudulently dispose of what belongs
to others like Satan does. After God created the earth. He decided to give it
to man. For this reason, God created man in His own image and handed over the
earth to him (Genesis 1:26-28). After ruling over the earth for a period, man
unknowingly
handed the earth to Satan. This he did by receiving the forbidden
fruit from him, thereby disobeying God and obeying Satan. God was very angry
about this but he devised a plan to reclaim what belonged to him. As at the time
the Lord was being tempted by the devil in the wilderness, Satan was making
attempts to renegotiate the ownership and dominion of planet earth with the
Lord, but He resisted him. This tells us something about the Lord: He does not
allow any of His precious properties to be taken over by His enemies. He does
not mind paying any price-including becoming a man - in order to recover what
His enemy has stolen.
Are you like the Lord? Take stock of all me precious gifts that you have
lost since you were saved; how many of them have you recovered? Many of us have
lost a lot of valuable things to carelessness, sin, disobedience, etc. Yet, after
we asked God for forgiveness, we have refused to pay the price for their
recovery. You are not the first individual to lose something precious. Abraham
once lost Lot, Lot's family and all of Lot's possessions to some invading
kings. As soon as he got news of their capture, he armed his servants that
could fight and attacked the enemies at night when they were at ease, resting
and enjoying their loot. He recovered al! that was stolen! To recover the lost
graces of God on your life, you have to fight. To recover what you lost or what
was stolen in spite of your faithfulness in tithing, you will have to arise,
hold on to God's Word and fight. You may have to plunder spiritual thieves that
stole your blessings in the spiritual realm, by waking up at midnight to attack
them in prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, as you rise to fight, you shall
recover all.
